Yep. Just sitting perfectly happy in front of my computer, facebooking and MSN'ing my heart out. Along comes my mother and says "We're goin' out ta eat". Score? Hers.

What I don't understand is, why we need to eat out and waste $50 on a mere 7 dishes when we can eat instant noodles at home and not have to spend a cent! I walk enough in a day (proof: pedometer ♥) and I don't need to tire myself just going to some restaurant cuz some random family invited us out. Makes more sense just to stay at home, not leave my PJ's and virtual talk all day long. That's what the weekends are for.

I can name at least a thousand things which are liable to happen when your mother announces (quite out of the blue) that you are going out to a CHINESE RESTAURANT. Here goes (a few):

1. More people met outside: Honestly, I don't know about you, but when my mother runs into a person she met just yesterday, she doesn't stop talking. I actually bothered to time her once. Turns out that she had a record-shattering time of 1hr 30mins just standing in the middle of the shopping centre and blabbering about whimsical nonsence. It doesn't hurt to save the conversation for the next day does it?
2. Awkward moments: I've tried this one too. Except at home. Which makes me a ground-bound, all-round loser. Chinese New Year's is a perfect example to tell you. My dad, he has an awful lotta friends, most from his previous workstation at Midas. Too bad they're mostly mandarin. Not that I can't speak mandarin, its just, as a good lil' Canto person, I prefer to stay in a quiet place. On top of that, they bring those little toddlers and immature 12 year olds who make you stand out just as much as if you were called "TALL" in a group of short people. Thank god for the Ipod.
3. Food: No, I'm not a picky eater, but home made food is more...HOME. Seriously, if you've been to a Chinese Restaurant, trust me, the food there will be an overload of oil and all that other crap. I've even worked in a resturant and honestly, they put in a shitload of unwanted stuff. I ask them why. They tell me money.

Yep. I could go on forever, but sadly, I've run out of things to say. Make no sense? Good job :D
